THE ELEPHANT IN EVERY ROOM I ENTER is a strikingly intimate solo piece about Gardiner Comfort's experience as an actor living with Tourette's Syndrome. The play explores the week he spent at the Tourette Association of America National Conference in DC in April 2014--he'd never been around so many other people with Tourette's; it was the first time he could feel "normal."
Following the performance will be a discussion/Q&A with Gardiner Comfort , along with internationally acclaimed specialist in Tourette's Syndrome, Cathy L. Budman, MD , Clinical Professor of Psychiatry at the Zucker School of Medicine Hofstra/Northwell Health, Director of the Long Island Tourette Center of Excellence, and Jane Zwilling, Psy.D, Director of the Long Island Center for Tourette and Associated Disorders, Co-Chair- Long Island Chapter of the Tourette Association of America, Co-Founder of the Youth Ambassador Program.
